The Hour of Code is an event sponsored by Code.org where schools around the world engage in various coding activities to celebrate Computer Science Week. At MVMS, students participated in various coding and robotics stations. Students used Ozobot robots to code their names. They also used LEGO WeDo 2.0 and LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kits to build and program different robots. One of the stations had the students use a Makey Makey circuit board and graphite pencils to draw and then animate the character using the coding program Scratch. Students also participated by completing lots of coding challenges using the different resources on Code.org's website. These activities are available all the time, so check them out at home: https://code.org/learn - Happy Coding!
