Report Card Update - April 7, 2020

Dear Parents & Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well!  Please know that your families have been in our thoughts. Due to the complexities surrounding COVID-19 and community transmission, Mountain View Middle School will not be mailing home paper copies of Trimester 2 report cards. We are asking that all parents access their student’s Trimester 2 grades through PowerSchool. We know that this is not an ideal method of distribution, but we believe it is the safest. Please continue to read below for help with accessing your student’s Trimester 2 grades.

How do I access my student's grades?

Parent Portal - Log into sms.sau19.org with your username and password in any browser. Final Trimester 2 grades and citizenship are displayed on the main screen, Grades and Attendance, under the T2 column.  Click on the grade to see the teacher's comment and scroll down to see the corresponding assignments and scores for that trimester.  Current T3 in progress pass/fail grades are also available for your access.

PowerSchool Mobile App - Current T3 in progress pass/fail grades are displayed on the main screen.  Select Classes from the bottom menu, and the Classes Grid will display all terms and grades.  Click on the T2 grade to view the citizenship, the teacher’s comment and your student’s corresponding assignments.  If you are installing or re-installing the app, our District Code is TQHG.

What if I forgot my username or password?

We recommend that you use the "Forgot username or password" link in a browser and not in the app.  You must provide the email address that is connected to your account in order to recover your username and/or reset your password.  An email will be sent to that email address to complete the process.  Please check your spam/junk mail if you do not receive the email within 30 minutes.  The link is valid for only 24 hours.  If you need additional assistance accessing your account, please contact Administrative Assistant Debra Vallee at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

What if I don't have a Parent Access Account?

Accounts must be created by the school district. A separate email with instructions will be sent to those families identified without one existing parent account.

I want to thank the MVMS Community for its grace and understanding during this most complex time in your student’s education. Together, we will persevere, overcome, and continue to provide the students of Goffstown and New Boston a quality education.

Sincerely,

Wendy Kohler, Principal

As of March 16, 2020, a minimum of a Language Arts assignment will be uploaded to your student’s Language Arts teacher webpage. Students will be able to access their Moodle or blog according to grade level. Teachers will be explicit with due dates and expectations for all assignments.

Building Access:

We understand that parents and families will need access to the building for necessary materials and medications during this closure. In reaction, we have decided upon the following:

Between the hours of 10:00AM and 2:00PM, the building will be open for students only to access their essential materials (e.g. individual student instruments, medications, text books that are not available online). Parents may only enter the Health Office to receive essential medication. Teachers will not be available to meet during these times. Please see below as we’ve limited access to the building based on last name to prevent having too many individuals in the building at once:

  • Wednesday, March 18: Students with Last Name A-F

If you have a scheduled meeting with any staff (e.g. 504, special education, teacher conference), a staff member will be in touch to reschedule a phone conference with you. For the foreseeable future, please understand that there will be no in-person meetings at Mountain View Middle School.

Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we navigate these uncharted waters. Teachers will be updating their websites, blogs, and Moodle pages regularly. We anticipate that all content areas, including Unified Arts, will have lessons available by tomorrow, March 17.

If you are interested in accessing the Paper and Pencil option, please call (603) 660-5488. For those who need confidential support in regards to food insecurity, please call (603) 660-5487.
