Dear MVMS Families, 

We wanted to take a moment to remind everyone what a Distance Learning Day looks like for students at MVMS.

At MVMS, the expectation for students is to complete the classwork posted in Schoology asynchronously. All teachers, including Unified Arts staff, will have information and assignments posted. Teachers will be available via the Microsoft Teams platform, during office hours throughout the day. The link and the schedule for office hours will also be posted on the Schoology platform. Attending office hours is optional for students; however, please know that our staff is available to provide help, feedback, or instruction for those students who are seeking assistance.

All students are expected to complete the assignments posted in Schoology. Please note; if your student has an extenuating circumstance and is unable to complete their assignments, such as lack of internet connectivity, they should connect with their teachers on their next day back at school to make a plan for completion.

A few important points:

• Classwork will be posted by teachers in Schoology.
• Office hours will be hosted through the Microsoft Teams platform, and links to each office hour will be posted in Schoology.
• Directions for students to join a TEAMS meeting: How to join a TEAMS meeting for students
• School Counselors and administrators will be available via email for students and families.
• Enrichment activities will be available in the library media center’s course in Schoology.
